Dave "WAMMY" Walmsley was born in Burnley Lancashire on the 7th of August 1944.

After completing his secondary education he worked as an apprentice Press Toolmaker later passing his City & Guilds to become fully qualified.....but this wasn't what he really wanted to do, although he was playing in local skiffle bands, he wanted to do more within the music industry and after meeting up with Tony Anderson (ex Warriors and brother of Jon Anderson of Yes) he formed a band called "WAMMI", he then worked in Manchester at Tiffany's until the late 60's after Tony had left to sing with "LOS BRAVOS" in Spain.

Dave then moved to London with Dave Foster (Co writer/YES-Time and a word album) and formed a band Accrington Stanley with Jim Payne (Ex drummer of Tiger with Big Jim Sullivan) and Rodney Hill (ex guitarist with Sandie Shaw), playing the MARQUEE - the ROUNDHOUSE - the LYCIUM and not forgetting venues outside London including the Glastonbury Festival, following David Bowie's acoustic set. He then formed a new band called INDEGO and started work on the American Bases for a time.

In the early 70's Dave travelled to Spain to help to re-form LOS BRAVOS with two former LOS BRAVOS members Tony Anderson (Vocalist)-(brother of Jon from 'YES') and Miguel Vicence (original bass player). At a later date LOS ZEBRA was formed with, Tony Anderson for a while Miguel Vicence, Joan Bibiloni, Manolo Mari and Alberto Candella. Together they released several singles through PYE International (Novola Zafiro Records Madrid) all written by Dave.

Returned to England in the mid 70's and coasted for a while working with Ian Brown and Pete Graddy. Dave then formed 7 YEAR ITCH, followed by WAMM and toured England, Holland & Germany. Later getting together with Jim Hopwood (former Marty Wilde guitarist) and forming The Little Big Band.

Dave's now back in his home town of Great Harwood with his wife Pat, gracefully back into writing again and working the pubs and clubs in the area. He also travels to the Isle of Man TT every year to indulge himself in his other passion of motorbikes and performing at the famous Isle of Man venue "Bushy's" on Douglas prom. "Hey Up Lads!!!!".
